Phys Ed and Personal Development (PDHPE)

In PDHPE you will be investigating the importance of primary prevention and early intervention in protecting, promoting and restoring health by focusing on the Mentawai Islands and the support provided for the Mentawai people by SurfAid International, and comparing it to your own culture.  You will develop an understanding of why it is important to promote inclusivity and build a community that is supportive of all people.

The PDHPE course recognises the importance of developing respect for the rights and dignity of all people and a commitment to social justice. You are encouraged to become active and responsible participants in the community and formulate plans that enhance both individual and community health and wellbeing.
